The wind blew and Lones Wigger won (a lot) throughout the second half of the “Golden Age” of smallbore rifle shooting — the 1970s. The disco decade of saw the iconic Wigger, along with a cast of characters rivaling a Hollywood blockbuster, help usher in the 3-P era, all while setting a slew of smallbore national records at Camp Perry.
The Randle Trophy for International competition between women's rifle teams was inaugurated in 1952 by Mr. Thurman Randle, a past president of the NRA. Special awards for team members came soon after.
NRA, NSRA and NZSRA officials met online via Zoom to review the results of this year's International Postal Matches, including the Wakefield, Drew Trophy and Goodwill Dewar events.
