Guns of Competition at the NRA Sporting Museum

A trip to the NRA National Sporting Arms Museum, located inside the flagship store of Bass Pro Shops in Springfield, Missouri, offers an opportunity to see several unique gun collections— such as “Hollywood Guns, “Lawmen and Outlaws of the Old West” and “Guns of the Texas Rangers.” A priceless collection of prestigious firearms lies within the cases of this beautiful museum. Stoney Roberts, manager of the museum, brought to life the various firearms of the “Competition Shooters Collection.”

Kim Rhode wins Gold at Pan Am Games, defends the Shooting Sports

Kim Rhode won the Women’s Skeet gold medal at this year’s Pan American (Pan Am) Games in Toronto. Team USA’s sole women’s skeet competitor was able to beat Argentinian Melisa Gil 15-12, dropping only one target in the gold-medal match. In the semifinal match, she set a Pan Am Games record with a perfect 16/16 score. Her qualification score of 74/75 is also a Pan Am Games record, and tied the current world record. This is Rhode’s fourth medal overall and second gold at the Pan Am Games.

2015 NRA High Power Rifle Championship Results

SFC Brandon Green of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit (AMU) has won the 2015 NRA National High Power Rifle Championship at Camp Perry, Ohio, beating three-time champion Norman Houle 2387-140X to 2380-126X.

USA Shooting Hosts IPC Shooting World Cup

The final opportunity for athletes to earn Paralympic quotas will take place here in the United States when USA Shooting hosts the final International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Shooting World Cup of the season November 3-7 at the home of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit (AMU) in Fort Benning, Georgia.
