WVU jumps back to the top spot after a victory at TCU, Air Force moves up two rankings to No. 2
West Virginia University, the Air Force Academy and the University of Kentucky are ranked one through three, respectively, according to the first CRCA poll of this season. The CRCA (College Rifle Coaches Association) rankings are determined from each team's highest score fired so far this season.
For the second week in a row, the WVU rifle team is ranked No. 1 in the CRCA poll. TCU jumps two spots to No. 2. The two schools will face off in Morgantown on Oct. 26.
WVU and TCU remain at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots in the weekly CRCA rankings, while the Navy rifle team jumps two spots after a big win on the road against Ohio State.
It came down to the X-count to determine the contest between the two top rifle teams in the country. Navy and Army swap spots.
A two-time NCAA smallbore champion (2017-18), Phillips was also the 2017 NCAA runner-up in air rifle.
