2015 Crawfish Cup NRA Action Pistol Regional

Seventy-five competitors from 16 states made their way to Southwest Louisiana for the 2015 Crawfish Cup. This was a major increase from the 51 competitors at the match in 2014.

2015 NRA National Pistol Championship Results

SFC Keith Sanderson of the U.S. Army Reserve is this year’s NRA National Pistol Champion, with a score of 2655-122X. The two-time U.S. Olympic team member won by 14 points in a classic muddy Camp Perry match for the record books. SFC Sanderson is no stranger to the winners podium, racking up the wins with the USMC for eight years, before joining the Army Reserve. Not only did SFC Sanderson literally write the book on pistol marksmanship fundamentals, he won an unprecedented three medals (gold, silver, and bronze) at three World Cups in 2009.

Bruce Piatt's Bianchi Cup Heartbreak

In April Bruce Piatt won the Crawfish Cup regional match, which is held in Lake Charles, Louisiana, every year prior to the Bianchi Cup. While celebrating the win, I was informed that for the past three years, the winner of the Crawfish Cup had gone on to win the Bianchi Cup the same year. So who am I to break a tradition?
