Due to a decision by Illinois state officials, the Grand American will be hosted by the Missouri Trapshooters Association at a facility in Linn Creek, MO, instead of the World Shooting Complex in Sparta, IL, this August.

The first annual Southwestern Trap Championships at the NRA Whittington Center featured a 1,000-target program and a prize purse valued at $20,000.

The First Annual NRA Southwestern Trap Championships at the NRA Whittington Center was a first-class event that all U.S. trap shooters should add to their calendars. This year there was over $20,000 in money, trophies and awards handed out to attendees.

The 2019 ATA Grand American will be July 31 to August 10 at the World Shooting and Recreational Complex in Sparta, Illinois. There is a $60,000 prize purse for two of the marquee events at the 2019 tournament

There are five $5,000 scholarships and two $1,000 scholarships available this year via the Trapshooting Hall of Fame Scholarship Program
