This past weekend the Akron Zips rifle team really turned up the heat with a big win over Memphis

The Zips secured the win for overall regular season team champion.

Akron’s aggregate score of 4494 was well over 100 points ahead of runner-up Michigan. This is Akron's second consecutive victory at the championship

Akron Zips rifle team shooters Haverhill and Schnupp contributed to the highest team score for the season. The score will go a long way towards Akron earning a 2022 NCAA Rifle Championship selection.

With three more regular season matches remaining, Akron rifle is “All gas, no brakes” moving forward. The victory against Memphis moved the team up one spot in the latest rankings to No. 8.
