USA Shooting Trap athletes Derek Haldeman and Ashley Carroll―who happen to be dating―were paired up as a team at the 2017 World Championships for the first time and they ended up winning a bronze medal. Because of that medal win, they were invited to the World Cup Finals where lo and behold, they won another bronze medal too. Haldeman, who used to be a Double Trap shooter, is adapting to the new Olympic program switched sports, but not just to compete alongside his girlfriend.
