Akron Zips rifle wrapped up the 2022-23 season as the 11th-ranked team in the country, and on March 10-11, the Akron rifle team hosted the 2023 NCAA rifle championship.

The Akron Zips rifle team wrapped up its record-breaking season with a fifth-place finish in the eight team-field at the 2023 GARC Championship on Feb. 25-26 at WVU in Morgantown, West Virginia.

At the NCAA Qualifier Match last weekend at Ohio State, the Akron rifle team finished the regular season ranked No. 11.

Difficult conditions forced the Akron rifle team to push themselves even harder during the three-way competition over the weekend at VMI in Lexington, Va.

Last weekend the Akron rifle team posted the second highest score in program history, along with a new team air rifle record. Akron faced Ole Miss, West Virginia and Ohio State at home Jan. 21-22, 2023.
