The duo of Brian Burrows and Derek Haldeman grabbed Men's Trap shooting gold and silver medals, respectively, as well as quotas for the 2020 Olympic Games at the Pan Am Games in Lima, Peru
Couples In Competition: Trapshooters Ashley Carroll And Derek Haldeman
USA Shooting Trap athletes Derek Haldeman and Ashley Carroll―who happen to be dating―were paired up as a team at the 2017 World Championships for the first time and they ended up winning a bronze medal. Because of that medal win, they were invited to the World Cup Finals where lo and behold, they won another bronze medal too. Haldeman, who used to be a Double Trap shooter, is adapting to the new Olympic program switched sports, but not just to compete alongside his girlfriend.
