The second installment of our deep dive on the shooting events at the Los Angeles 1932 Summer Olympics.
After the bleak Amsterdam 1928 Olympics with no shooting events, the 1932 Games in Los Angeles, Calif., included multiple matches. However, bad communication and other problems developed at the 1932 Olympic shooting events. For starters, the Organizing Committee built a 50-meter range that wasn't 50 meters long.
The Hal & Jean Glassen Memorial Foundation and USA Shooting have joined forces, with a generous $500,000 donation from the former to support junior shooters competing internationally. The goal of the Raise the Flag campaign is to raise $1.5 million.
