Akron Zips rifle team shooters Haverhill and Schnupp contributed to the highest team score for the season. The score will go a long way towards Akron earning a 2022 NCAA Rifle Championship selection.
Kentucky is at the top of the rankings, followed by TCU, WVU, Nebraska and Akron who will be joined by Murray State, Navy and Air Force at the 2020 NCAA rifle championship in Lexington, KY, next month.
West Virginia University, the Air Force Academy and the University of Kentucky are ranked one through three, respectively, according to the first CRCA poll of this season. The CRCA (College Rifle Coaches Association) rankings are determined from each team's highest score fired so far this season.
