When a piece of equipment becomes a staple on ranges everywhere, the accessories around it tend to lag behind. MTM Case-Gard’s new Chronograph Case for the Garmin Xero aims to close that gap with a straightforward, tightly designed solution that treats the chronograph like the precision instrument it is.
Unveiled at SHOT Show 2026 in Las Vegas, the Chronograph Case (CCXERO) is built specifically around Garmin’s Xero unit rather than adapted from a generic storage box. Inside the hard shell, custom-cut foam secures the chronograph along with its tripod and USB cable, keeping each component fixed in place during transport or storage. The layout is simple and intentional, designed to prevent shifting and eliminate the need for improvised padding.
The exterior follows MTM Case-Gard’s familiar approach to protective cases, using a rigid shell that guards against impacts, dust and range debris. A clear lid allows the contents to be identified instantly without opening the case, which makes it easier to confirm everything is packed before heading out or packing up. The overall footprint is compact enough to stack, stow or grab quickly, whether it lives on a shelf or in a range bag.
According to MTM Case-Gard CEO Steve Minneman, the goal was to align the case with the expectations of shooters who rely on consistent data. He said the Chronograph Case was designed to match the precision of the equipment it protects, reflecting how integral the Garmin Xero has become to modern load development and shooting sessions.
Something else to note, Garmin announced a new Xero C2 model at SHOT Show 2026. Both the Xero C1 Pro and the new chronograph have the same dimensions: 3.03" (77 mm) x 2.38" (60.5 mm) x 1.36" (34.44 mm).
Priced at an MSRP of $14.50, the MTM Case-Gard Chronograph Case is positioned as an accessible add-on rather than a premium accessory. It is intended for competitive shooters, reloaders and anyone who wants their Garmin Xero chronograph protected and ready to use.
