The 2018 Crosman All-American Field Target Championship (CAAFTC), held at the Rochester Brooks Gun Club from July 20-22 in Monroe County, NY, saw an expansive turnout this year, with over 90 competitors from 17 states, two Canadian Provinces, and Puerto Rico attending the match. Of these 90-plus shooters, Jeff Paddock (Olmsted Township, OH) came out as overall champion, with 145 of 180 targets downed.

Other notable finishers included Greg Sauve (Green Bay, WI) who won the WFTF PCP division with a score of 102, edging out Peter Brooks (Rochester, NY) by just a single target. Tom Himes (Lewis Run, PA) was able to outshoot his brother Dennis Himes after a first-round tie to take the Hunter PCP Division.

Mark DeBoard, the shooting services manager for Crosman, said of the match, “It was one of the strongest fields as you will find in this sport, plus it’s always encouraging to see families participate and new competitors join the field target sport.”

He added, “The Crosman match is one of the largest of its kind in the U.S. and a great way for Crosman to support and grow the sport of air gun.”
