The High Service Rifle team for the NRA 2nd Amendment team match was National Guard Gold, with team members Samuel Freeman and Josh Hanrahan (not pictured). National Guard Gold garnered a score of 985-32X.
The Whistler Boy team match is open to junior teams. Pictured here is ISRA Hard Dogs Blue, with team members Ikraam Khan and Morgan Carrier, who took top honors with their combined score of 939-23X. Nestled between the two shooters on the table is the Whistler Boy trophy.
The U.S. Army Reserve team USAR Arcularius won the Enlisted Men's Trophy team match with a score of 1967-73X. Team members are SFC Joel Micholick, SSG Sean Morris, SGT Keith Stevens and SPC Daniel Lowe.
Illinois State Gold won the Rumbold Trophy team match with a score of 1941-56X. They also were the High Civilian Service Rifle team. Firing members are John Holliger, Timothy Klauer, Jim Vaughn and Konrad Powers, along with Team Captain Mark Aussieker.
The 2019 NRA National High Power Rifle Championships began Tuesday, August 6 at Camp Atterbury with the two-person team matches. This includes the iconic Whistler Boy High Power team match and the 2nd Amendment team match. These two matches were followed by the four-person team matches, consisting of the Enlisted Men, Rumbold and RNDC trophy matches. See the gallery above for highlights from the last few days of the competition.
Next year, the High Power Rifle Championships at Camp Atterbury will be joined by the Precision Pistol and Smallbore Rifle matches.
