Bethel University’s Action Shooting Team pretty much won everything at the 2026 SASP College National Championship.
The squad from McKenzie, Tennessee, captured all 11 discipline titles at the Scholastic Action Shooting Program College National Championship, held March 13-15 at the CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park in Talladega, Alabama, becoming the first team in SASP history to sweep every division. After leaving last year’s championship with a then-record seven titles out of 10 disciplines, Bethel returned in 2026 and cleared the board.
The competition placed Bethel head-to-head against top collegiate programs including Arizona, Florida State, Virginia Tech and defending centerfire pistol national champion Texas A&M. This year’s addition of Ultimate to the championship slate brought the total to 11 disciplines. After three days of competition, Bethel owned them all.
The sweep didn’t stop at discipline titles. Three traveling trophies, awarded for overall program excellence, were also in play. Bethel entered the championship holding two, knowing they’d have to surrender them before competition began. By the end of the weekend, they had reclaimed both and added the third, previously held by Texas A&M, completing a total championship takeover.
Individually, Bethel student-athletes combined for 37 High Overall honors across the championship, a staggering haul for any collegiate squad.
Olivia Albertson was a force across nearly every discipline, claiming six first-place HOA finishes in Centerfire Pistol, 1911, Rimfire Pistol Optic, Centerfire Pistol Optic, Rimfire Revolver Iron and Ultimate. She added four runner-up results and a third-place finish to cap one of the most complete individual performances of the weekend.
As for Bethel teammate Kaleb Klein, he delivered nine first-place HOA finishes—including Rimfire Pistol, Centerfire Pistol, Iron Rifle, 1911 and Ultimate—and added two second-place results. Between them, Klein and Albertson accounted for 15 of Bethel's first-place individual honors.
Brice Jones contributed four runner-up finishes and four third-place rankings across nearly every category. Alyson Battreall provided steady scoring depth with a pair of second-place finishes and four third-place podiums. Colin Davis secured a runner-up finish in Centerfire Revolver, adding another key piece to the overall effort.
