Jessie Harrison claimed three titles at the 2026 US Steel Nationals, hosted by Koenig Shooting Sports at Titusville Rifle and Pistol Club in Titusville, Florida, from March 19-22. Every year, this match brings the nation’s top Steel Challenge competitors to the Sunshine State.

Harrison, the Taurus Team Captain and a world champion shooter, claimed the Ladies Carry Optics National Championship, the Ladies Open National Championship and the Ladies Overall National Championship.

“Steel Challenge has always held a special place in my heart as the ultimate test of skill, combining both speed and precision,” Harrison said.

The Carry Optics title carried an extra layer of significance. Harrison competed with the all-new Taurus TX9 Full Size in its completely stock, out-of-the-box configuration with no modifications. The decision was deliberate.

“Competing with the TX9 at the Steel Nationals was my goal—I knew this was the perfect platform to showcase its potential,” she said. “My intention was to prove that this pistol could perform out of the box at a high level.”

It did. Harrison’s performance with the unmodified TX9 earned her the Carry Optics crown in the pistol’s national competition debut, a statement run for both the shooter and the platform.

Her Ladies Open title came behind the Taurus 1911, a gun she’s campaigned at the highest levels of the sport for years. Winning across two distinct platforms in the same weekend speaks to the kind of versatility that has defined Harrison’s career and kept her at the top of competitive shooting for more than a decade.

“I am incredibly proud to have earned the Ladies Carry Optics National title along with Ladies Open National title using my Taurus 1911, and Ladies Overall National Championship!” Harrison said. “I hope Taurus shares in these victories with me—with their support through the years, it has truly become a team effort!”
