BULGER, Pa. — Taurus Team Captain Jessie Harrison finished ahead of every woman in every division at the 2026 U.S. IPSC National Championship, held Oct. 1-4 at the Greater Pittsburgh Gun Club. The match featured 21 stages.
It wasn’t a runaway. Harrison finished atop the combined Ladies standings with 1446.4219 points, just 7.1990 ahead of Pistol-Caliber Carbine Optics shooter Teagan Richman at 1439.2229. In a match worth 2040 available points, a couple of loose hits on one stage could have erased that margin. Their total times were nearly identical, too: 388.83 seconds for Harrison and 388.26 for Richman. Production Optics shooter Morgan Leonhardt finished third among the women at 1387.5140.
In Open, her own division, Harrison had more room. Jennifer Tang was the next-closest Open woman, sixth on the combined Ladies list and more than 100 points back.
Her best work came early. On Stage 4, Harrison shot 21 As and three Cs for 117 of a possible 120 points in 16.15 seconds. That 7.2446 hit factor was her highest of the match. The run was worth 89.88% of the Open stage winner’s points and ranked 16th in the division on that stage. She followed it with 87.55% on Stage 5, the strongest two-stage stretch of her match.
The course asked a lot, and Harrison said that was the point.
“This was one of the more challenging matches of the year while still being incredibly enjoyable—exactly how a competition should be,” Harrison wrote on Facebook. “Great job on the stage design and creating a match that felt true to IPSC.”
The finish caps a comeback that began at the 2025 World Speed Shooting Championships. That was her first match back with Team Taurus, three months after giving birth, and she won her 18th Ladies title there. This past August, she won Ladies Open at the 2026 USPSA Race Gun Nationals at the Cardinal Shooting Center in Marengo, Ohio. Pittsburgh is the last match on her 2026 calendar.
Harrison is widely regarded as the most decorated woman in action pistol. She was the first woman to reach Grand Master in USPSA, and her national and world titles cover the Bianchi Cup, IPSC, USPSA, Steel Challenge, Action Pistol and Cowboy Action.
The 2026 U.S. IPSC National Championships also counted toward something bigger.
“As one of six qualifying matches for the next IPSC World Shoot, this win also allowed me to secure valuable points toward earning a spot on the USA Ladies Open Team,” Harrison said. “It’s a great way to wrap up the season, and I’m excited to carry this momentum into what’s ahead.”
