Federal Ammunition renewed its commitment to youth shooting sports by returning as a Platinum Level Sponsor of the 2025 Minnesota State High School Trapshooting Championship. The event, hosted by the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League and sanctioned by the USA Clay Target League, runs June 9-17 at Alexandria Shooting Park in Alexandria, Minnesota.

This championship is not just a local event—it’s one of the largest high school shooting sports competitions in the world, drawing approximately 8,500 student-athletes from more than 350 clay target teams across Minnesota. Organized over nine days, the Minnesota State High School Trapshooting Championship is a celebration of sportsmanship and community, serving as a cornerstone of the USA Clay Target League’s national program, which boasted more than 53,000 student-athletes in 2024.

“This event is one of the largest in the world and in our backyard,” Federal’s Director of Conservation and Youth Shooting Sports Jon Zinnel said. “Federal is proud to continue its support and wishes all local shooters good luck. We also want to give a big shout-out to all the parents, coaches and others who supported these athletes in their sport. We’ve backed shooting sports programs across the country for decades, and it’s wonderful to join these athletes in our home state and celebrate their successes.”

Each team competes on a designated day based on class and conference (Novice, Junior Varsity and Varsity), with student-athletes shooting at 100 clay targets. Scores count toward both individual and team standings.
