Those marksmen and markswomen hoping to fine-tune their rifle skills even more extensively should look to this year’s Civilian Marksmanship Program’s Advanced High Power Clinic at Camp Perry, Ohio. The 2024 CMP Advanced High Power Clinic is scheduled for July 26-28.

The CMP Advanced High Power Clinic offers more in-depth instruction for service rifle shooters using classroom, range discussion and live firing. The course is open to those competitive shooters who have attended the Advanced Small Arms Firing School at least once and hold an “Expert” classification with the National Rifle Association or CMP.

Training is led by certified CMP personnel, along with accomplished civilian marksmen and markswomen. Since this is a more personalized course, focusing on each individual’s specific needs, participants must bring their own rifles, ammunition and equipment for training.

“This clinic is meant to help individuals reach their next level or goal of marksmanship,” Sara Rozanski, CMP’s high power rifle coordinator said. “The clinic can also help fix or give you a different perspective on a position or something you’ve been struggling with.”
