Joe Fanizzi Repeats As Jack Link’s Cup Sporting Clays Champion

Team Winchester shines as Joe Fanizzi wins second Jack Link’s Cup title. The match was at Quail Creek Sporting Ranch in Okeechobee, Fla., Feb. 13-18.

Joe Fanizzi was triumphant once again at the Jack Link’s Cup sporting clays tournament, claiming the top title this year at the match with a tremendous score of 195 of 200 targets. The Team Winchester shooter earned a $25,000 payout for the victory. The 2024 Jack Link’s Cup was held at Quail Creek Sporting Ranch in Okeechobee, Florida, February 13-18.

In 2022, Fanizzi won the inaugural Jack Link’s Cup by a five-target margin in the main event.

Fanizzi scored 65 targets on the red course, 64 on the white course and 66 on the blue course at the match to land the High Overall title in the main event.

Team Winchester’s Mike Wilgus, who is shooting in his first year in the veteran concurrent, was the veteran runner-up in the main event with a score of 186. Wilgus was also the High Overall runner-up in both the FITASC and Super Sporting events. In addition, his near perfect 99 in the Super Sporting event made Wilgus the outright veteran winner by three birds.

Additional Team Winchester placements at the 2024 Jack Link’s Cup include Desi Edmunds taking third place in the Ladies main event, along with Ladies North prelim runner-up and Wednesday prelim runner-up. Also, Zach Kienbaum was third place in North Prelim, Thursday prelim runner-up and Wednesday prelim runner-up, as well as Connor Daniel taking the Junior Thursday prelim runner-up title.

Winchester products featured at the 2024 Jack Link’s Cup included Winchester AA shotshells and White Flyer Targets, including the new Eco Flyer target.
