At SHOT Show 2026, Benelli unveiled its 828U SuperSport A.I. over/under shotgun that sport the company’s A.I. barrels.
Benelli’s Advanced Impact barrel technology is central to the SuperSport A.I., designed to produce tighter, more consistent patterns and improved downrange effectiveness compared to conventional shotgun barrels. As target presentations stretch distance and speed, the gun maintains uniform performance, giving shooters reliable feedback shot after shot.
This release also marks the first appearance of Benelli’s SuperSport configuration in its over/under lineup. A brushed nickel steel receiver provides durability and balance, while a carbon-fiber wrapped stock and fore-end reduce unnecessary weight. The overall aesthetic is modern and restrained, emphasizing function over ornamentation.
Recoil control plays a major role in the SuperSport A.I.’s shootability. Benelli’s ComforTech 3 system absorbs energy through the stock, while Combtech cheek inserts reduce impact to the face. Together, they help shooters stay settled and focused during long days on the range.
Fit and adjustability are built into the platform. Integrated drop and cast adjustment allow shooters to fine-tune their sight picture straight out of the case, and an adjustable trigger accommodates different hand sizes for improved control. A broadway-style vent rib with a defined sight channel, paired with a red-bar front sight and steel mid-bead, promotes quick, intuitive alignment.
MSRP is $4,599. Available in multiple 12- and 20-gauge configurations, the 828U SuperSport A.I. is positioned as a performance-driven tool for serious clay shooters. Go to benelliusa.com.
