The newly expanded Taurus Shooting Team had a strong showing at the 2021 Bighorn Classic USPSA Colorado State Championship, held June 25-27 in Grand Junction, Colo., with KC Eusebio winning the overall match, Team Captain Jessie Harrison securing High Open Lady and new competitor Trent Eichler taking seventh place in the Single Stack division.

With 252 competitors competing across 12 stages, the 2021 Bighorn Classic marked the first match for veteran champion shooter KC Eusebio and Trent Eichler as members of Team Taurus. It also was the first match in which Eusebio, Eichler and Team Captain Jessie Harrison competed together as a team.

“Since this was Trent’s first big match, KC and I flew out to shoot the Bighorn Classic with him and to provide our support,” said Harrison.

Eichler secured seventh place in the Single Stack division with a final time of 402.27. His gun was a custom Taurus 1911 single stack. He is optimistic about his future with Team Taurus.

“My first big match at the Bighorn Classic went well,” said Eichler. “Shooting with Jessie and KC on the Taurus Team was an honor. They have both taught me a lot and I look forward to learning more from two of my biggest role models.”

Eusebio took the match overall with a final time of 205.86 seconds using a custom open gun. He was excited to shoot with his fellow Team Taurus members.

“This was the first time we all got to compete as Taurus Team members and we had a blast,” said Eusebio. “Being able to mentor Trent with Jessie made the competition even more rewarding. I can't wait to take home more victories for the Taurus family.”

Harrison, who finished the match with a final time of 240.51 seconds, was also using a custom open gun to take the High Lady title. She was glad to attend the match with new shooter Eichler, mentioning that working together is key to great partnerships.

“The Bighorn Classic was a great indicator of what KC and I should be focusing on for our upcoming Nationals,” said Harrison. “It was also a great starting match for Trent to show how hard he’s been training. Having one another to work with and learn from will make us all raise the bar of our own success, and I look forward to seeing how we progresses and grow together.”
