Summer is in full swing, and with it comes a renewed sense of energy and excitement across our sport. I’m thrilled to share that in April 2025, USPSA officially surpassed 40,000 members—a historic milestone for the organization and a powerful reflection of the passion and dedication within the community.

USPSA & Steel Challenge
USPSA and Steel Challenge shooters have built a thriving community as the organization celebrates historic growth with eyes on the future.

This growth isn’t just a number—it’s a sign of the momentum we’re building together. More members are heading to the range, participating in USPSA matches and getting involved in our clubs than ever before. In fact, this year’s USPSA Nationals sold out in just minutes, showing how eager our competitors are to be part of these high-caliber events. It’s an exciting time to be involved in USPSA, and the future has never looked brighter.

As we continue to grow, the USPSA team remains committed to investing in our members and clubs in meaningful ways. We are financially strong, and that will allow us to create new programs and opportunities to enhance our members’ and clubs’ experience with USPSA. Here are just a few of the initiatives we’ve launched or expanded in recent months.

  • A new online USPSA Club Manual is being developed to provide practical tools and best practices to both new and established clubs.
  • Our Club Referral Program is in the works, offering incentives for expanding our footprint and supporting club development.
  • We’ve introduced discounted annual membership fees for multi-year signups, giving members more value and easier ways to stay engaged.
  • A new RFP process so that clubs and ranges from across the country all have a level playing field and can put in proposals to host USPSA National events.
  • And so much more that is currently being worked on—I can’t wait to share more.

These efforts are just the beginning. Behind the scenes, we’re continuing to improve our systems, enhance communication and plan for the future of the sport. As always, our mission remains focused on making practical shooting accessible, competitive and rewarding for everyone—from new shooters to longtime members.

To every USPSA and Steel Challenge match director, volunteer, club official and competitor, thank you. Your dedication is what makes USPSA strong. Whether you’re taping targets, welcoming new shooters or competing for a podium finish, you are contributing to the ongoing success of the sport.

Let’s keep the momentum going. Let’s continue to support each other, grow the USPSA ranks and make 2025 a year of record participation, unforgettable matches and meaningful community.
