ANOKA, Minn. (Feb. 21, 2026) — The modern rifle has evolved. Suppressors that were once a niche accessory have become a standard part of many shooting setups. Optics sit taller and extend further. Chassis systems and adjustable stocks have changed the geometry of what a rifle looks like when it’s ready to go to work. The case, however, has been slower to adapt. Federal’s new Fit Pursuit Rifle Case is an attempt to close that gap, and it’s now shipping in two sizes.

The core idea is adjustable length. An internal roll-up design lets shooters extend or shorten the case to match rifles with or without suppressors attached. It is a simple mechanical solution to a problem that has quietly frustrated anyone who has tried to fit a suppressor-equipped rifle into a standard soft case and found themselves three inches short. The Fit Pursuit Rifle Case ships in 40- and 45-inch configurations, both with a suggested retail price of $139.99.

Available in 40- and 45-inch sizes at an MSRP of $139.99, the Federal Fit Pursuit Rifle Case features accessory pockets, a position-adjustable carry handle and a double shoulder strap for backpack-style transport.

Where things get more interesting is in the heat management. Suppressors retain significant heat after firing, and sliding one into an unprotected case can damage fabric, melt foam or warp zippers. Federal addressed this with heat-resistant lining in the muzzle area and a dedicated heat-resistant suppressor and ammo pocket. That means a shooter coming off a range session or walking out of a hunting spot does not have to wait for a suppressor to cool before packing up. The case is engineered to handle it.

The entry system uses a dual-zipper drop-in design that opens the case flat, letting shooters lay a rifle in without threading it through a narrow opening. A position-adjustable carry handle sits on top for single-hand transport, a quick-grab handle allows fast pulls from a truck bed or rack and a double shoulder strap converts the case into a backpack for hands-free movement through the field. A hanging loop rounds out the carry options for those who store cases vertically in a safe or closet.

Multiple accessory pockets are built into the exterior for magazines, tools and small gear. Everything ships in black.

The case joins Federal’s broader Fit accessories line alongside the company’s established Top Gun range bags and existing gun case offerings.

“Today’s shooters are running a wide range of rifle setups, and we built these Federal Fit accessories to match that reality,” Federal’s Accessories Product Director Jake Jacobs said. “From suppressor-ready heat-resistant protection to adjustable fit and smart storage, the Pursuit Rifle Case helps keep rifles secure, protected and ready to go wherever the day takes you.”
