Having a window on your magazine for round count verification can be convenient. Now, Magpul has released a windowed variant of its PMAG 20 LR/SR GEN M3 magazine for those seeking more compact 7.62x51 mm NATO/.308 Win. (or other similarly sized cartridges with a COAL of 2.830 inch) magazine for their SR25/M110 pattern rifles.

Magpul’s new PMAG 20 LR/SR GEN M3 Window magazine is a 20-round magazine with dual-side transparent windows for SR25/M110 pattern rifles chambered in 7.62x51 mm NATO (.308 Winchester).

Thanks to the windows, you can easily conduct a quick count of the approximate number of rounds remaining in the magazine via a high visibility indicator coil on the spring and numerical markers on the magazine body.

This proprietary capability—the MagLevel system—provides a fast round-count estimation without affecting the durability or reliability of the magazine. Like Magpul’s other PMAGs, the 20-round LR/SR GEN M3 Window magazine includes a stainless-steel, corrosion-resistant spring, along with an anti-tilt, self-lubricating follower. The magazine’s lines follow a constant-curve internal geometry for continuous reliable feeding. The low-profile ribs and aggressive front and rear texturing help give shooters a positive grip for magazine changes in all environments.

A paint pen dot matrix at the bottom panel of the body allows shooters to easily marking these magazines. In addition, a flared floorplate aids extraction and handling of the magazine and improves drop protection and ensures better compatibility with tight double- and triple-magazine pouches.

Molded of next-generation impact and crush-resistant polymer, this new magazine also accepts Magpul magazine accessories for the 7.62x51 mm NATO lineup of PMAGs. (Photo courtesy of Magpul)

The magazine is also simple to disassemble and makes for easy cleaning and maintenance when necessary. Designed specifically for SAAMI-spec ammunition, the PMAG 20 LR/SR GEN M3 Window is less than half the weight of standard issue steel magazines and maintains a service life round count approximately equal to the rifle barrel itself.

MSRP is $24.95. Magpul PMAG 20 LR/SR GEN M3 Window magazines are avaialble in two colors, Black and Medium Coyote Tan. Learn more at magpul.com.
