To celebrate its 125th anniversary, Mauser is introducing a limited-edition series of the original Mauer 98 bolt-action rifle. Only 25 are available worldwide and each in the series is numbered.

The limited-edition Mauser 98’s action, bolt handle ball, trigger guard, pistol grip cap and magazine base are color-case-hardened. Gold damascening, English ornaments and a grade 8 walnut stock with red recoil pad give it an elegant look. The original Mauser logo is inlaid in gold, while the trigger guard has the serial number of the anniversary model.

Multiple caliber options are available, including .375 H&H, .416 Rigby, .30-06 Springfield and 8x57 IS.

“The Mauser 98 action is regarded as the forefather of all modern bolt-action rifles. Built in the millions, copied by the thousands, but never matched,” Jason Evans, the CEO of the Blaser Group said. “We will have the first 125th anniversary rifle, marked number one in the series, for sale at the upcoming SCI Convention in Nashville, and it is truly a work of art.” (Blaser Group is the official U.S. importer for Mauser.)

MSRP for the Mauser 98 125th Anniversary rifle is $35,000.
