When Team Winchester-White Flyer shooter Mike Wilgus stepped onto the final station at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, he already knew he’d put together one of the finest performances of his career. By the end of the week, his 282 out of 300 was enough to earn him the 2025 NSCA National Championship title—his first HOA win on the sport’s biggest stage.

Wilgus outpaced a field of more than 1,970 shooters who competed in the Main Event between October 18-26. His consistency capped off an exceptional year that saw him finish in the top three overall at the last four NSCA Regionals, while also claiming multiple Veteran Champion titles and a win at the Diamond Classic.

Winchester-White Flyer teammate Joe Fanizzi joined Wilgus on the 2025 NSCA National Championship Main Event podium with a third-place finish, posting a strong 277/300, only one point behind runner-up Derrick Mein.

In addition to his Main Event crown, Wilgus claimed the Veteran Champion, Super Sporting Veteran Champion and runner-up finishes in both the Super Sporting and K-Kup events.

Also earning recognition was Desi Edmunds, newly inducted into the NSCA Hall of Fame, who took runner-up in the Ladies Main Event and third in the Winchester Ladies Cup Overall. Junior standout Connor Daniel added a fourth-place finish in both the Main Event Junior and FITASC Junior divisions.

In total, 2,573 shooters took part in this year’s National Sporting Clays Championships—an event that marked the close of another NSCA Championship Tour, powered by Winchester.
