Bergara recently added a new model to its Premier Competition Rifle lineup that is chambered in 6 mm GT. The new model joins the existing 6 mm Creedmoor and 6.5 mm Creedmoor variants in the company’s Premier Competition Rifle lineup.

More from Bergara: “With PRS shooters migrating to this notable 6 mm GT caliber, Bergara thought it was the perfect gun to pair with this offering. The Competition rifle is the most accurate and highest-performing production class PRS-style Bergara rifle that exists. Paired with your optic of choice, the Bergara Competition Rifle is competition ready right out of the box.”

Bergara Premier Competition Rifle
Overall length of the Bergara Premier Competition Rifle in 6 mm GT is 46 inches. Overall weight is 12.7 pounds.

The Bergara Premier Competition Rifle starts with a 26-inch long No. 7 heavy profile stainless steel competition Bergara barrel. This barrel is stiffer, more stable, slow to heat up and doesn’t walk as fast after the barrel temperature rises. The stainless steel barrel (1:7½-inch twist) is polished and sports a clear Cerakote finish. This gun also has a Bergara Premier action and a MasterPiece Arms BA Chassis. Additionally, this rifle has an overall weight of 12.7 pounds. The Bergara Competition rifle has all the features a shooter needs to reach the podium.

The company also noted that the 6 mm GT cartridge is both exceedingly accurate and forgiving to reload with a variety of brass, bullets and powder, all while boasting speeds from 2,800 f.p.s. to more than 2,975 f.p.s. The shooter can get great results with different combinations compared to some of the other popular PRS cartridges.

In addition, the rifle features an Arca-Swiss rail for easy and fast adjustments. The three-in-one rail incorporates a screw hole for commonly used camera tripod adapters. The Arca-Swiss rail also allows you to easily slide your gun back and forth, and if you have a Picatinny bipod, both mounting and adjusting are seamless.

Bergara’s Trigger Tech partnership makes use of a Trigger Tech Special trigger, which increases performance and accuracy for shooters by eliminating creep and heavy trigger pulls.

One 10-round AICS-style detachable magazine is included with purchase.

Dakota Russell, Bergara brand manager said, “This cartridge takes all the great aspects from the other 6’s around it, while leaving the negatives behind. The 6 mm GT is an absolute home run when paired with our Comp rifle.”

MSRP for the Bergara Premier Competition Rifle in 6 mm GT is $2,750 and retails for approximately $2,499. Visit bergara.online to learn more.
