Smith & Wesson has expanded its Model 1854 lever-action rifle lineup with new models chambered in .45 Colt. The new .45 Colt options join the original models in the Model 1854 series chambered in .44 Rem. Mag. that were released at SHOT Show 2024 earlier this year.

The Model 1854 series is designed to strategically blend the classic aesthetic of the American lever gun while incorporating modern enhancements. Models are offered in a paired synthetic black polymer and stainless-steel finish, along with a walnut furniture combination sporting an Armornite finish.

These lever-action rifles have a 9+1 capacity, a threaded, 19¼-inch-long stainless steel barrel and a forged 416 stainless-steel receiver.

Additional features include a top-mounted 4¾-inch Picatinny rail base for mounting optics, adjustable XS Sights ghost ring rear sight paired with a gold bead front sight, flat-face trigger design and a removable magazine tube.

Smith & Wesson’s new Model 1854 lever-action rifle chambered in .45 Colt has a 19¼-inch long stainless steel barrel with 1:20-inch right-hand twist, eight-groove rifling.

As mentioned, Smith & Wesson’s new Model 1854 lever-action rifles chambered in .45 Colt retain the top-mounted Picatinny rail for optics-mounting capability, plus the other features of the .44 Rem. Mag. models in the Model 1854 series released earlier this year, like the larger operating loop and threaded barrel.

MSRP for the new Model 1854 lever-action rifle chambered in .45 Colt is $1,399 for the walnut model and $1,279 for the black polymer one. Go to smith-wesson.com to learn more.
