Smith & Wesson has expanded its Model 1854 lever-action rifle lineup with new models chambered in .45 Colt. The new .45 Colt options join the original models in the Model 1854 series chambered in .44 Rem. Mag. that were released at SHOT Show 2024 earlier this year.

The Model 1854 series is designed to strategically blend the classic aesthetic of the American lever gun while incorporating modern enhancements. Models are offered in a paired synthetic black polymer and stainless-steel finish, along with a walnut furniture combination sporting an Armornite finish.

As mentioned, Smith & Wesson’s new Model 1854 lever-action rifles chambered in .45 Colt retain the top-mounted Picatinny rail for optics-mounting capability, plus the other features of the .44 Rem. Mag. models in the Model 1854 series released earlier this year, like the larger operating loop and threaded barrel.
