RCBS has announced that the National 4-H Shooting Sports Program is the recipient of its 2021 youth shooting sports donation. This year, RCBS presented the organization with a check for $5,000 to support youth education.

For the past six years, RCBS has donated a portion of the proceeds from every RCBS Explorer and Explorer Plus Reloading Kit sold to the National 4-H Shooting Sports Program.

Each year, between 400,000 and 500,000 young people participate in 4-H shooting sports programs across the country. Additionally, more than 19,000 adult volunteers and professional educators assist with their education.

From the 4-H shooting sports website:

“Local 4-H shooting sports clubs are open to all youth ages eight to 18. Each year, 4-H teaches a shooting sport to about 500,000 boys and girls each year. Shooting sports can be gratifying for youngsters, especially those who aren’t athletes. The program provides a supportive environment in which young people can experience hands-on, fun learning experiences.”

Here is what Eliza Graves, senior brand manager for RCBS, said about the company's steadfast support of 4-H shooting sports programs.

“We’re honored to once again back the National 4-H program with its mission of educating youth on safe and responsible firearm use. Various 4-H events each year help give thousands of young adults opportunities to develop life skills in an environment that fosters self-worth and conservation ethics. The mission of 4-H is one that’s supported wholeheartedly by the RCBS team.”

The NRA offers programs to assist youth organizations such as 4-H with shooting sports endeavors. One recent example is the Burnet County, Tex. 4-H Precision Rifle Team, which has received NRA Foundation grants totaling more than $29,000 since 2015.
