This year’s Burris Optics Team Challenge will take place at a private 17,000-plus acre ranch in Douglas, Wyoming, on June 20-23. Registration is open now.

A three-day shooting competition, the Burris Optics Team Challenge is a unique event that has two-person teams competing against each other in multiple shooting disciplines, including long-range rifle, pistol and shotgun shooting. The competition is designed to test participants' marksmanship skills, along with their ability to work together as a team.

The Burris Optics Team Challenge is “an extreme test of practical field shooting of rifles, carbines, pistols and supporting activities.” During the match, two-person teams must navigate rugged desert and mountain terrain to engage challenging targets from compromised shooting positions—all while racing the clock.

 

Competitors carry all gear used during the courses of fire at the the Burris Optics Team Challenge. As for the targets, they are a mix of unknown, various and non-standard target sizes, but nearly all of them will be reactive armor steel plate.

Participants in this year’s Burris Optics Team Challenge will have a chance to win several prizes, including Burris Optics products, cash and other shooting-related gear. In addition, the top-performing team will be crowned the Burris Optics Team Challenge Champions and receive grand prize.

USPSA safety rules are the baseline for safety at the Burris Optics Team Challenge.
