Federal Ammunition last week announced its new Master Class loads for sporting clays at SHOT Show 2025 in Las Vegas.

For its debut, Federal’s Master Class lineup includes six 2¾-inch 12-gauge offerings loaded with No. 7.5 and No. 8 shot.

Master Class shotshells
Federal’s new Master Class features two components—also used in the company’s Premium products—including a one-piece Podium wad and high-antimony lead shot that balances hardness and density. It’s constructed with a straight-wall hull, inserted plastic base wad and striated tube for optimum performance.

Federal Master Class sporting clays shotshells feature a customized Podium wad, which the company said “extracts peak performance from Federal’s straight-wall hull.”

The use of high-antimony lead shot provides the ideal balance of hardness and density. Additionally, Federal’s new Master Class uses a striated tube.

Velocity for these competition-level shotshells ranges from 1,235 f.p.s. to 1,300 f.p.s.

“Master Class gives shooters competitively priced loads with top-quality internal components needed to break the most challenging targets in sporting clays and FITASC,” Federal Shotshell Product Line Manager Josh Vickers said. “From the unique and attractive blue hull to a new shot sorting process utilized in its loading, this new product line is built to exceed the expectations of all sporting clays shooters.”

It features high-quality components in an ultra-reliable two-piece straight wall hull design. It’s offered in the most popular payloads and velocities for modern sporting clays competitions.”
