Designed for medium to large faces, Magpul's new Apex eyewear (MSRP: $109-$149) combines lightweight construction and ballistic protection without compromising optical quality. Ballistic-rated Z87+ and MIL-PRF 32432 lenses and frames allow the Apex line to meet both high velocity impact protection and safety ratings.

Apex eyewear lenses are available in multiple polarization, color and mirror options for use in variable light conditions and environments. The lenses are oleophobic, will repel water and also provide oil, sweat and sunscreen protection. Additionally, Apex lenses sport an anti-reflective coating located on the inside.

Magpul says Apex frames won’t be degraded by water, sweat or chemicals.

As for the frame, the design is a large 8-base one that is constructed of TR90NZZ—the strongest thermoplastic material used for eyewear. The frame creates a protective barrier from light and debris with increased side protection, while maintaining peripheral vision. Over-molded anti-slip rubber nose and temple pads prevent slippage, especially while in motion. Finally, low-profile temples provide easy integration while wearing helmets, headsets and over-the-ear hearing protection.

Polarized and non-polarized lens options are available in the Apex line. A Magpul DAKA hard case and lens bag that doubles as a cleaning cloth is included. Learn more at Magpul.com.
