Hornady team members Sean Murphy and Greg Hamilton won the Burris Optics Team Challenge with a final score of 1157.05. The match was held June 25-28 in Douglas, WY.

This match tested competitor skill in practical field shooting with rifles, carbines and pistols under strict time constraints. Two-man teams traversed mountainous desert terrain to engage challenging rifle targets from difficult shooting positions. Within the teams, duties were divided between long-range rifle and carbine (semi-automatic).

Murphy and Hamilton relied on Hornady bullets to secure the victory. Murphy used the company's 6mm 110-grain A-TIP bullets, while Hamilton used Hornady .22-cal. 75-grain ELD Match bullets. Additionally, both shooters were running Hornady 9mm 125-grain HAP bullets in their pistols.

Murphy was quick to highlight the performance of the Hornady ammunition for aiding in his team's victory. His team was one of four at the match that posted final scores above 1000.

“Hornady A-TIP and ELD Match bullets performed flawlessly, leaving no doubt as to whether a target was hit for score,” said Murphy. “Our very high hit ratio can attest to the consistency and performance capable with Hornady bullets.”
