The top three finishers (l. to r.): Jeffrey Graham, SSG Erin McNeil and SSG Amanda Elsenboss.

The Remington Trophy is awarded to the winner of the 1,000-yard Any Sight Match at the NRA National Long-Range National Championships. This is a prone match with 20 slow-fire shots at the NRA LR target.

McNeil, who came to Camp Atterbury unclassified in NRA High Power Long-Range, ended the regulation match with a score of 200-10X. (In NRA competition, unclassified shooters are placed in Marksman class until they receive a classification.)

Third-place finisher Jeffrey Graham enjoyed sharing the spotlight with the top two shooters.

The match runner-up was Jeffrey Graham of Beavercreek, Ohio, with 200-13X. Graham is classified as a High Master. His score also garnered him the High Senior award.

Finishing third was McNeil's former AMU teammate, SSG Amanda Elsenboss with a score of 200-13X. Elsenboss, who now competes for the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, is classified as a High Master. Her score also secured her the High Woman award. In addition, Elsenboss finished second in the grand aggregate for the 2021 Tompkins Trophy.

The High Junior award went to Thomas McGowan of Hortonville, Wis., with 196-10X.

About the Remington “Band of Brothers” Trophy: This large, bronze sculpture created by artist James Muir depicts a D-Day scenario in World War II, with U.S. soldiers in a jeep breaking through enemy lines to carry a wounded officer to safety. The sculpture includes “bullet holes” surrounding the Jeep, a large American flag on the Jeep hood and a tall red flag. Additionally, it has a 24-inch pentagon-shaped wooden base to highlight the U.S. theme of the sculpture. The trophy was donated to NRA by Remington Arms Company, Inc., as a tribute to the heroism of Americans who fought to preserve freedom against fascism.
