Meopta has released the Gen 2 version of its MeoPro binoculars with 10X 42 mm HD ($499) and 8X 56 mm HD ($749) Plus models.
The company says its new MeoPro HD Plus binoculars “deliver sharper, brighter images and better contrast and resolution than the Gen 1 models.” Edge-to-edge clarity, a wide field of view and solid low-light performance round out the mid-priced MeoPro HD line.
As for the focus wheel, it has been redesigned to be smoother, faster and more precise. The modern exterior design boasts durable rubber armoring, and provides a comfortable grip in all weather conditions. The alloy body is made from lightweight magnesium and is tripod adapter ready. Fogproof and waterproof, both models are nitrogen purged, shockproof and fully sealed. In addition, users will appreciate the easy to remove (and clean) twist-up eyecups that are made from metal with a soft rubber exterior.
Additional features include Meopta’s MeoShield anti-abrasion lens coating that protects exterior lenses, along with the MeoDrop hydrophobic lens coating, which repels rain. The diopter adjustment is also easy to find under the right eyepiece.
