Celebrating Our Heroes: Metal Madness Aiming For Zero Fundraiser To Be Held In November

The goal of the “Celebrating Our Heroes” Metal Madness fundraising event is to aid Aiming For Zero in its mission to end veteran suicide. The match will be held in Grand Rivers, Ky., on Nov. 2, 2024.

Grand Rivers Shooting Range in Grand Rivers, Ky., the home range of Metal Madness, will host its first Aiming For Zero event on Nov. 2, 2024. Attendees will have the opportunity to try new shooting disciplines, and have the option to use supplied gear and ammunition or bring their own—everything you need for a great experience will be provided.

The folks at Metal Madness are conducting a “Celebrating Our Heroes” fundraiser match at the Grand Rivers Shooting Range in Grand Rivers, Kentucky, on Saturday, November 2. Proceeds from the competition will benefit Aiming For Zero, a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing veteran suicide.

Aiming For Zero provides support for veterans, active-duty personnel and military families through competitive shooting events and community engagement. The goal: raising awareness, building partnerships and mobilizing support for veterans’ mental health and well-being.

For the “Celebrating Our Heroes” Metal Madness Aiming For Zero fundraiser match in November, there will be seven stages set up in a new bay at the Grand Rivers range. The following disciplines will be featured: Metal Madness, Metal Madness Unlimited, USPSA, IDPA, Steel Challenge, ICORE and Falling Steel.

As for the firearms, they will be supplied by Ruger, along with ammo from Aguila. Competitors also have the option to bring their own firearms for the “Celebrating Our Heroes” Aiming For Zero fundraiser match.

Not only that, there will be eight Ruger firearms and one Custom 22/45 built by Steve Foster that will serve as raffle prizes, as well as a Hornady reloader. In addition, TK parts, Hunter HD Gold shooting glasses, Axil ear protection, a guided fishing trip and more will be available for attendees to bid on during a live auction.

“Our Aiming For Zero fundraiser is for a good cause to help our veterans,” Ed White, the founder of Metal Madness said. “We will have food, raffles and a live auction in the afternoon. I hope to see everyone at the event. Come visit with some great people. I promise it will be worth your trip.”
