Federal Ammunition is expanding its All-American shotshell line with new competition-focused loads designed for trap and skeet shooting.

The updated lineup builds on a straight-wall hull platform paired with Federal’s Podium wad, a one-piece design tuned to manage pressure and shot release more consistently. Inside, high-antimony lead shot balances density and hardness, a combination intended to keep patterns together without feeling overly aggressive at the shoulder. Federal also leans on its long-established primer technology and carefully matched propellants to keep ignition predictable round after round.

Muzzle velocity for the Federal All-American 12-gauge, 7.5 shot, 1⅛ ounce target load is 1,250 fps.

For 12-gauge shooters, the new options cover familiar ground—2¾-inch shells in payloads from 1 ounce to 1⅛ ounce, loaded with 7.5, 8 or 9 shot. The 20-gauge additions stick to 7/8-ounce loads in 7.5 and 8 shot, a nod to the payloads most commonly seen in competition rather than experimental outliers.

What separates Federal All-American from entry-level target shells isn’t raw speed or novelty. It’s the way the components are assembled to behave the same way on the first station as they do on the last, whether you’re shooting trap under pressure or grinding through a long skeet practice.

Federal plans to show the expanded All-American line at SHOT Show 2026 in Las Vegas, with MSRP set at $13.99 per 25-round box. Full product details are expected to follow shortly after the show. Go to federalpremium.com.
