Hillsdale College Shotgun Team Hosts 2024 Chargers Classic

The Hillsdale College Shotgun Team hosted its annual Chargers Classic on Saturday, August 24. A portion of the proceeds from the event, which was a registered National Sporting Clays Association competition, will go towards operations for the Hillsdale Shotgun Team.   

Participants at the 2024 Chargers Classic could compete in 100-target Sporting Clays, 50-target Super Sporting and 50-target Five-Stand event, along with the Chargers Challenge and a Flurry.

The 2024 Chargers Classic also included games, prizes, giveaways and a ring ceremony for the Chargers’ ACUI/SCTP Division II Team High Over All championships.

“I look forward to this event every year,” Head Shotgun Coach Jordan Hintz said. “It is a great opportunity for people to meet—and compete against—our national championship-winning Shotgun Team.”

The following trophies and medals were awarded at the 2024 Chargers Classic.

  • Chargers Champion: competitor with the highest total score from the 200 targets offered
  • First, second and third overall, plus first place in each class of Sporting Clays
  • First Lady, First Junior and First Veteran in Sporting Clays
  • First overall in Five-Stand
  • First overall in Super Sporting
  • Highest score in the Chargers Challenge
