The second year of the USA College Clay Target League National Championship ended with a familiar name atop the team podium: Lindenwood University.

From October 31 to November 2, 244 student-athletes representing 25 schools gathered at Brittany Shooting Park in Bunker Hill, Illinois, for three days of clay-target shooting, camaraderie and near-perfect scores.

When the final clays shattered, Tyler Marshall of Lindenwood stood alone at the top. With a stellar score of 199, Marshall edged out Collin Hewing of Lake Land College (198), while teammate Wyatt Baine locked in third at 196.

It was a razor-thin finish in the men’s division, but it capped a weekend that left no doubt about Lindenwood’s continued dominance in collegiate clay target shooting.

The Lions weren’t just strong—they were untouchable. Lindenwood’s shooters combined for an impressive 982 team score, securing the National Team Championship by 10 points over runner-up Lake Land College (972). Montcalm Community College rounded out the top three with 948.

“This was just the second year of our Collegiate National Championship event,” said John Nelson, President of the USA Clay Target League. “Everything went great, and the students and their teams had a great experience this year. Congratulations to Tyler and Lindenwood University.”
