CCI’s collaboration with Henry Repeating Arms has left the warehouse. The Henry Golden Boy Collector’s Edition .22 LR, first shown to the trade in January, began reaching retailers nationwide this week at an MSRP of $31.99.

The load itself is straightforward: a 36-grain copper-plated hollow point leaving the muzzle at 1,260 fps, which is standard high-velocity territory for a hunting and target rimfire. CCI positions it for paper and small game alike, and specifies smooth cycling through Henry’s Golden Boy lever gun—the rifle that gave the ammunition its name and its brass-toned box.

That box is the point. CCI is selling a collectible as much as a case of ammunition, and the packaging carries Henry's logo alongside CCI’s, gold lettering in a period typeface and the “Made in America, or not made at all” line Henry stamps on its own products. The Kinetic Group, which owns CCI, has leaned into commemorative packaging across its ammunition brands throughout 2026, and this box represents the strategy applied to a partnership rather than an anniversary.

“When one of America’s most iconic firearms manufacturers teams with ‘The Leader in Rimfire,’ great things happen,” said Steven Monniere, rimfire product manager for CCI. “The Golden Boy Collector’s Edition celebrates Henry’s legendary lever-action rifle while delivering the reliable performance shooters have come to expect from CCI rimfire ammunition.”

Whether the box survives intact on a collector’s shelf or gets torn open at the range is the buyer’s problem. At roughly 12 cents a round, the ammunition inside prices as ordinary bulk .22 LR, which makes the collector’s premium effectively free.

CCI Henry Golden Boy Collector’s Edition .22 LR ships under part number HGB22 and carries an MSRP of $31.99 per 275-round box. More information is at cci-ammunition.com.
