New: Watchtower Defense Vantage Handguns

Watchtower Defense has unveiled the Vantage series, a pair of ported pistols from the Tomball, Texas, company, including the full-size Vantage with a 5-inch barrel, and the Vantage C which shortens the barrel to 4.2 inches. Both are chambered in 9 mm Luger.

Watchtower machines ports directly into both the Vantage’s 416R stainless-steel slide and the polished bull barrel, venting gases up and to the sides to help hold the muzzle down under recoil. The full-size gun uses what the company calls its V10 porting pattern, while the Vantage C gets a V6 layout sized for its shorter slide.

Both pistols are built on a 17-4 stainless-steel frame paired with an MJD double-stack grip module made from a carbon fiber and Kevlar composite. Inside is a Doug Koenig fire control group and hammer with a flat, machined aluminum trigger shoe. Watchtower sets the trigger at 2½ pounds, plus or minus 4 ounces, with a reset of 0.100 inch or less.

Each slide comes with an integrated RMR optic plate, so the guns are ready for a red dot out of the box. Iron sights consist of a fiber-optic front and an optional removable rear blade. Buyers can choose between Black DLC and Flat Dark Earth PVD finishes on either model.

Every Vantage ships with two stainless-steel DS 1911 magazines, one 126 mm and one 140 mm, along with a Watchtower Defense range bag, a gun lock and a gunsmith certification card documenting the pistol’s hand fitting and trigger pull weight.

Both models are available now through dealers and carry a transferable limited lifetime warranty. The full-size Vantage V10 has an MSRP of $3,899, and the Vantage C V6 has an MSRP of $3,699.
