America’s 250th birthday has reached the ammo shelf. MTM Molded Products is marking the semiquincentennial with its America250 Ammo Crate Series, a limited-production run that dresses the company’s bulk storage system in red, white and blue.

The series comes in two configurations, and both wear part numbers that nod to the founding year. The 4-can crate, model AC4C-1776, packs four MTM .30-cal. ammo cans into a custom-fit tray engineered to ride fully loaded. Its larger sibling, the 5-can AC5C-1776, swaps in five Mini Ammo Cans with its own fitted tray for expanded storage in the same footprint philosophy.

Function follows the formula MTM customers have leaned on since 1968. A water-resistant O-ring seal keeps moisture off the contents, heavy-duty snap latches hold everything shut and rugged polypropylene construction shrugs off range abuse. Crates stack while fully loaded, tie-down points anchor them in a truck bed and double padlock tabs add a security layer for storage at home or transport across state lines. Everything is made in the USA, which lands as more than a footnote on a product commemorating American independence.

The Dayton, Ohio, company said the series as a tribute to generations of American sportsmen who’ve valued preparedness and self-reliance, and the crates back that sentiment with utility. These aren’t shelf ornaments. Rather, they’re working storage that happens to commemorate a milestone, equally at home hauling loaded cans to the range or organizing a closet.

Collectors should note the clock. The America250 Edition runs only while supplies last, and once the limited production closes, the patriotic livery goes with it. The 4-can model carries a price of $54.91, while the 5-can version is $59.19.

Both crates are available now through authorized MTM Case-Gard dealers. For more on the family-owned company’s storage lineup, visit the website at mtmcase-gard.com.
