The hardest miles a rifle travels rarely happen with a finger on the trigger. More often, it’s strapped to a pack, riding in a truck or bouncing along on an ATV as dust, brush and weather quietly do their work. Long before a shot presents itself, the goal is simply to arrive with the rifle ready.
Federal’s latest accessories are designed with those in-between moments in mind.
Now shipping, the new Fit Quick Strike Muzzle/Scope Cover and Fit Coil Rifle Cover each take a different approach to protecting a rifle in transit and in the field. Both are available in medium, large and extra-large sizes with designs that accommodate rifles equipped with suppressors as well as traditional setups.
The Fit Quick Strike Cover focuses on the parts shooters rely on most. Its stretch-fit design slips over the scope and muzzle, helping keep dirt, moisture and debris away while the rifle is carried on a backpack, secured to an ATV, UTV or e-bike or resting in a truck’s gun rack. Inside the muzzle section, a heat-resistant lining allows it to be used with suppressors without sacrificing compatibility with unsuppressed rifles.
The Fit Quick Strike Cover is offered in three sizes, fitting firearms from 24 to 36 inches depending on the model. It carries an MSRP of $49.99.
For shooters looking for more complete coverage, the Fit Coil Rifle Cover wraps the entire firearm in an adjustable roll-up case. Instead of relying on a fixed length, the design allows the cover to be rolled to match the rifle, creating a closer fit across a range of firearm sizes. A quick-grab handle makes it easy to move from vehicle to range or trail while the heat-resistant muzzle lining provides the same suppressor-ready protection found on the Quick Strike Cover.
The Fit Coil Rifle Cover is available for firearms measuring 34 to 54 inches, depending on size, and has an MSRP of $59.99.
Neither cover tries to reinvent how rifles are transported. Instead, each addresses a familiar reality of time outdoors: the journey is often longer than the shot itself and protecting equipment along the way is simply part of being prepared.
“With suppressors being so wildly popular these days, having the gear needed to protect them properly and conveniently is an absolute necessity,” Federal Accessories Product Director Jake Jacobs said.
