Range days often fail for mundane reasons: forgotten earplugs, loose magazines or targets left on the workbench at home. MTM Case-Gard’s new Pistol Range Kit is designed to address those small but persistent annoyances by consolidating the essentials into a single container.

The MTM Case-Gard Pistol Range Kit arranges a handgun, magazines and safety gear inside a red water-resistant case designed for quick range trips.

The kit ships in a clear red, water-resistant dry box sealed with an O-ring and molded with padlock tabs. Inside, a foam-lined tray holds a handgun, while a separate insert organizes up to five magazines. MTM also includes basic eye and ear protection, chamber safety flags and paper targets—items that are inexpensive individually but easy to overlook when packing in a hurry. (You can also download more targets for free at the MTM Case-Gard website.)

The emphasis here is not innovation so much as integration. Nothing in the kit is novel, but putting these components together in a compact, standardized package lowers the cognitive overhead of getting to the range. For new shooters, it serves as a checklist in physical form. For experienced users, it’s a way to reduce clutter and redundancy.

MTM Case-Gard lists the Pistol Range Kit at an MSRP of $41.94. Whether that’s a bargain depends on what you already own, but the convenience is the point.
