Savage Arms has expanded its rimfire lineup with the release of the A22 and B Series Timber Tactical models—purpose-built rifles that merge familiar aesthetics with upgraded functionality aimed at precision shooters.

Both series come outfitted with OD green laminate stocks, giving the rifles a traditional feel with durability to match. The vertical grip is cut specifically for precision shooting, while the rear hook on the A22 adds another level of control, making it easier to stabilize the rifle with the off hand when shooting from a supported position.
The semi-automatic A22 Timber Tactical is available chambered in .22 Long Rifle and includes an 18-inch heavy-profile barrel with deep spiral fluting and a 1/2x28 threaded muzzle. It ships with a flush-fitting 10-round rotary magazine and includes dual forward sling studs and a factory-installed 20-MOA Picatinny rail, making it optics-ready out of the box.
The B Series Timber Tactical rifles are bolt-action and available in .22 LR, .22 WMR and .17 HMR chamberings, offering more flexibility for rimfire shooters who prioritize different calibers. Like the A22, B Series models feature spiral-fluted 18-inch heavy barrels, threaded muzzles, dual sling studs and flush-fit 10-round magazines.

Where the B Series sets itself apart is with Savage’s 1½-pound Precision AccuTrigger, delivering a crisp, user-adjustable trigger pull that enhances shot control—especially in benchrest or varmint hunting applications.
MSRP for the new Timber Tactical lineup is $599 across all configurations. Whether for small game or target shooting, the Timber Tactical series combines precision engineering with shooter-focused ergonomics.
