New from Walther Arms is the PDP Match Steel Frame 9 mm pistol. About the new pistol, Walther said, “The precision-machined steel frame guarantees the PDP Match’s ability to endure the harshest conditions, while shattering performance boundaries and securing superior results.”

The striker-fired Walther Arms PDP Match Steel Frame incorporates the company’s Dynamic Performance Trigger, which Walther said, “provides a significant reduction in trigger weight, take-up and reset.”

The Walther PDP Match Steel Frame includes a Dynamic Performance Trigger, no-slip performance duty texture and wrap-around grips. For the latter, the user can change the grip feel and profile with factory and aftermarket grip panel options. As for the barrel, it is five inches long with a 1:9-inch twist. Trigger pull is approximately five pounds. Additionally, the ambidextrous magazine release button is conveniently positioned for thumb operation, and is reversible for right- or left-handed operation.

The Walther PDP Match Steel Frame’s ported slide incorporates SuperTerrain serrations, which are “uniquely designed protruding serrations on the slide, allowing for quicker and more responsive hands-on engagement with the pistol.” In addition, the enhanced magwell, made of aluminum, should help streamline the reloading process.

Similar to other Walther PDP models, the PDP Match Steel Frame is optics-ready and includes a free cover plate, along with the option to contact Walther for different optic-mounting plate options.

Two 20-round magazines and one 18-round magazine are included with purchase of the Walther PDP Match Steel Frame pistol.

“The PDP Match Steel Frame is a game-changer. With unwavering stability, shooters are able to have lightning-fast follow-up shots and laser-like accuracy,” Jens Krogh, vice president of marketing and product development for Walther Arms, Inc., said. “Like its polymer counterpart, the versatile features combined with the steel frame, makes this an unparalleled performance-enhancing powerhouse.”
