In the golden glow of an October weekend in Jacksonville, Florida, the 2025 NRA Florida State Precision Pistol Championships unfolded with the kind of precision and poise that would make even the most exacting marksman proud. Nestled at the Gateway Rifle and Pistol Club, 25 competitors hailing from nine states converged to test their mettle across a rigorous two-day contest—and it was Seth Innes of Hollywood, Florida, who rose above all with a performance worthy of cinematic acclaim.

Innes, the epitome of calm and skill under pressure, earned a bevy of accolades: match winner, High Civilian, High Senior and High Veteran. His prowess earned him the coveted Florida Sport Shooting Association Trophy, crowning him the undisputed Florida State Precision Pistol Champion.

Hot on his heels was Winter Haven’s Nestor Pena, whose steady hand clinched runner-up, while Tampa’s Chris Liming took third overall and proudly claimed the High Police honor.

The event was rich with talent; Joe Chang from Springfield, Virginia, captured the High Master Class title, while Atlanta’s Chase Turner was at the top of the Master Class. Jacksonville’s own Kelvin Alleyne took the Expert Class, and Tampa’s Sheri Tanner stood out as both the High Sharpshooter and High Woman category winner, a testament to her formidable pistol accuracy.

Other notable achievements included Rob Croxson’s High Marksman recognition and Philip Jones’ triumph as High Service shooter. The Grand Senior crown was awarded to Paul Bertrand of Tifton, Georgia, with Rand Albrecht from Phenix City, Alabama, dominating the .22 Only Aggregate division.

The NRA Distinguished Revolver Match added an extra layer of drama, with Innes again taking the crown. Chris Liming’s second-place finish earned him the distinction of highest non-Distinguished shooter—an unofficial bronze and valuable points towards his Distinguished title—while Jacksonville’s Randy Erickson rounded out the top three.
