Team Remington’s Jason Krause fulfilled a lifelong goal at the 2025 Grand American after capturing his first ATA Singles World Championship title.

“It’s something you dream about as a kid,” he said.

Held at the World Shooting and Recreational Complex in Sparta, Illinois, the 126th consecutive Amateur Trapshooting Association Grand American World Trapshooting Tournament brought nearly 5,000 competitors from across the globe from July 30 to August 9, 2025. Krause, a 42-year-old native of Henderson, Nebraska, emerged from a field of more than 1,900 entrants to win one of the five most coveted titles in trap shooting.

Krause and 57 other shooters shot a perfect 200 to earn a place in the shoot-offs. After another 200 targets, the field had narrowed to just five.

“It was very nerve-wracking,” Krause said. “As the narrowing of competitors continues, you become aware that the chances to win are increasing. Instincts take over, and I focused on breathing, staying calm and making the same moves on the targets I’ve made 10,000 times over.”

In the final moments, Krause found himself in a head-to-head with trap legend Brandon Deal. When Deal missed, Krause remained perfect—completing 300 straight targets to secure the title.

“You read about it in the trap shooting magazines and follow the scores, and then to have the opportunity to win and then win, it’s really hard to describe,” the new ATA Singles World Champion said. “It feels good. My name will forever be in the history books of this great event alongside the greats of the sport, and it validates the hard work and skills I’ve worked on since shooting my first registered target at the age of 15.”

Krause relied on Remington’s Nitro 27 7.5 shot across the full 2,600 targets of the Grand American.

Team Remington also congratulates Sandra Jo Jack on winning the 2025 Grand American Handicap Lady II World Championship, marking her fourth career ATA world title, as well as Austin Jacob, who took runner-up in the ATA Doubles World Championship among a field of more than 1,500 competitors.
