Winchester recently announced that World Champion skeet shooter Paul Giambrone III has joined Team Winchester. In addition, he is an ambassador for White Flyer Targets.

Giambrone has been shooting at the highest level of skeet shooting competition for more than two decades. Hailing from Louisiana, he now lives in Utah with his family and travels the United States instructing the next generation of shooters and honing the skills of those already established in the game. Giambrone also remains at the top level of the game, most recently winning his 26th World Title in the Doubles event this past October at the 2023 World Skeet Championships in San Antonio, Texas.

Giambrone will now shoot Winchester AA target loads loaded with No. 9 shot, which is the most popular shot size for American Skeet. His go-to ammunition will be 20-gauge No. 9 loads at 1,200 f.p.s. (AA209) which he uses in Doubles, 12-gauge and 20-gauge events, 28-gauge No. 9s at 1,200 f.p.s. (AA289) for 28-gauge events, and finally .410 bore No. 9s at 1,200 f.p.s. (AA419), which are used in the most challenging of all American Skeet events—the .410 event.

“I am honored to represent the iconic Winchester brand. As the shooting sports continue to grow, so does the demand for AA Target loads in all load specifications,” Giambrone said.

Among Giambrone’s many accomplishments in American Skeet are garnering 26 World Titles and 30 400X400 perfect scores in the 12-gauge, 20-gauge, 28-gauge and .410 events (two with only using a .410). He also has seven 500X500 perfect scores in the 12-gauge, 20-gauge, 28-gauge, .410 and Doubles events, and is the youngest shooter in history to shoot a 400X400 and 500X500. It doesn’t end there for Giambrone, either. He is the first shooter to post a perfect doubles average for an entire year, as well as the current Doubles Skeet long run record holder with 952 straight.

“We are excited to support Paul as he represents both the Winchester and White Flyer brands for us at National Skeet Shooting Association shoots across the country,” Winchester Ammunition’s Director of Marketing Jason Gilbertson said. “Winchester has a storied history in the game of American Skeet and has been a title sponsor of the NSSA World Shoot for more than 70 years.”
